Summary:
Seeking experienced Piping Designers for long-term contract roles in shipbuilding, with a focus on developing detailed drawings and coordinating design criteria.Requirements:
Minimum 3 years of piping design experience within the shipbuilding industry. Proficiency in AutoCAD and 3D modeling tools such as Ship Constructor, Nupas, Cadmatic, Inventor, or CATIA. Ship Constructor experience is mandatory. College-level coursework equivalent to an AA degree in Industrial Technology or related field preferred. Preferred Skills:
Understanding of engineering design and customer specifications. Ability to prepare Bills of Material (BOM) and consult with vendors on project-related activities.
Responsibilities:
Develop detailed drawings based on specifications and work order instructions. Ensure design products meet engineering design and customer specifications. Coordinate design criteria with various groups for manufacturability, material availability, and contractual obligations.
