Responsible for assisting the Planning Director and Building Official by performing a variety of clerical duties in accordance with Jackson County policies and procedures.
Oversee issuance of building permits for Jackson County.
Balance daily permit fees paid and confirm balance report with Finance Department.
Ensure all Building Permit information is correct and filed accordingly to maintain records for audits.
Compile statistical reports for permits issued for Building Official, Planning Director, Board of Supervisors, Bureau of Census, and Newspapers.
Communicate daily with homeowners and or contractors via email or phone to maintain flow process for issuing permits.
Review plans to determine permit fees based on the amount of plumbing, electrical and mechanical systems in a structure.
Receive and receipt deposits and or bonds for firework stands and be accountable for delivery to Finance Department.
Assist with verification of Zoning and flood questions when needed.
Act as administrator on Energov software system to ensure software is up to date and compatible with all permitting requirements.
Perform other related duties as required.
education and/or qualificationsHigh School Diploma or its equivalent.
Minimum of (2) years' experience preferred.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
