External Job Description Researches, designs, develops, and/or modifies enterprise-wide systems and/or applications software. Involved in planning of system and development deployment as well as responsible for meeting software compliance standards. Evaluates interface between hardware and software, operational requirements, and characteristics of overall system. Documents testing and maintenance of system corrections.
Additional common management responsibilities as listed in Shipbuilding Management Charter 0001 within command media (SBMC 0001) and applicants should review the Charter and policies and procedures before applying for position.
Basic Qualifications Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related IT field and two (2) years of related experience as an entry level Software Development Engineer/Analyst or an equivalent background. Must have basic, hands on experience with software development using industry standard development such as Microsoft Visual Studio .NET framework, .
Preferred Qualifications Training or background with backend databases such as Microsoft SQL 2008/2012, Oracle are desirable. Experience with C#, MVC, Visual Studio, knowledge of JAVA, IOS, Objective C.
